ERPNext WhatsApp integration: message suppliers and customers automatically
Your suppliers and customers already live on WhatsApp. We connect ERPNext to the WhatsApp Business API so the right message goes out the moment something happens in your ERP: a quotation request, a submitted purchase order, a login code.
WhatsApp inside real ERPNext workflows
These are live in client systems today, not demos.
Quotation requests to suppliers
The moment a Request for Quotation is created, every supplier is messaged on WhatsApp using the contact details already in ERPNext. Suppliers hear about the request straight away.
Purchase order notifications
When a purchase order is submitted, the supplier is notified on WhatsApp straight away.
OTP login for portals
Suppliers log in to a web portal with a code sent on WhatsApp, with no passwords to manage, and upload invoices against their own open orders.
From first idea to live messages
Pick the moments
We agree which ERPNext events should send a message, and to whom.
Set up WhatsApp
We help you prepare the WhatsApp Business API account and the message templates Meta must approve.
Connect to ERPNext
We build the triggers into ERPNext so messages go out automatically, using contacts already in your system.
Test and go live
We test with real documents and your team before switching it on.

Can ERPNext send WhatsApp messages automatically?
Yes. Using the WhatsApp Business API we trigger messages from events in ERPNext. For example, when a Request for Quotation is created, WhatsApp messages go out to the suppliers using the contact details already in the system, with nobody contacting them one by one.
Which messages have you automated?
Quotation requests to suppliers, notifications when a purchase order is submitted, and one-time-password login for a supplier portal. Any event in ERPNext can trigger a message, and we agree the list with you during scoping.
Do we need the WhatsApp Business API, or is the normal WhatsApp Business app enough?
To send messages automatically from ERPNext you need the WhatsApp Business API (the WhatsApp Business Platform). The regular app is designed for people typing messages by hand, so ERPNext cannot trigger it.
What does it cost to send WhatsApp messages?
Meta, the owner of WhatsApp, charges for business messages according to its own price list, separately from our development fee. We explain this in the written scope so there are no surprises.
Do our suppliers need to install anything?
No. They receive the messages in the WhatsApp they already use.
Can suppliers log in to a portal with WhatsApp?
Yes. For one client, suppliers log in to a web portal with a one-time password sent on WhatsApp and upload invoices against their own open purchase orders.
